THE RANT: NEW YEAR, OLD ME
Happy New Year!!! Now, I am not big on new year’s resolutions, dry January, starting a diet and working out blah blah blah. Doesn’t mean I don’t care about my well being. My old me, my currant me, is the same me that is always trying to better myself. Sometimes, I take a break and sometimes on a Thursday, I will try to eat better or try a new workout routine. I don’t need a new year, a Sunday or Monday to start anything. Every moment is a moment to try, to hope, to be. However, speaking about the new year though, for the first time ever, I do believe I will strive financially this year… maybe not extreme but hey ya never know! My hope is that YOU reader, get what you want this year… next year… and every year. Don’t give up!

GRAN TURISMO 2023 (Netflix) * * * * *
SPORT/ACTION BASED ON TRUE STORY
We watched as a family and we really enjoyed it. We weren’t sure it was going to be something we would be interested in, given it’s a sport we really don’t watch. However, the story was just so intriguing. It’s definitely worth the watch… about a gamer becoming a real race car driver.
WONKA 2023 (In Theaters) * * * * *
FANTASY/MUSICAL/PREQUEL
Me, my husband and son really enjoyed this movie. I felt it had many many nostalgic elements. If you didn’t think so, can’t say you were a true fan of the original Willy Wonka movie. The music… it is what it is haha but kept true to being a musical movie. WHen the movie ended, it got silent for a moment and some guy yelled out “this was the worst movie ever.” I don’t really know what the hell he was expecting but it was a fantastic movie.
REBEL MOON 2023 (Netflix) * * * *
FANTASY/ACTION
Definitely a Star Wars feel to it. It was good, it was only part one though. The whole movie was a build up with such a short action sequence at the end. I am invested now though and didn’t hate it so I will watch Part 2 when it comes out. I do love Zack Snyder’s movies.

THRILLER/COMEDY
LOL, I don’t know dude… this was a f****** weird ass movie. There were a lot of elements that mirrored goth poetry and greek mythology. Idk, it was weird haha. I wouldn’t watch again but yea go for it.
TROLLS BAND TOGETHER 2023 (PAID ON PRIME) * * * * *
COMEDY/FANTASY/MUSICAL
We saw the first one, loved it… we saw the second one, meh didn’t care for it… we saw this third one! Omg haha I freaking loved it. Even my 13 year old son liked it. I had to keep pausing it though to show t=him the boy band references. Haha it was really funny, at least to me.
SCOTT PILGRIM TAKES OFF 2023 (Netflix) * * * * *
ANIMATED ACTION
As a huge fan of the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. World, this animated series took a different turn and it was entertaining and silly. I loved how they brought back the original cast for the voice overs. If you a fan, watch it.
